Bespoke Musculoskeletal Movement Assessments
Over the last 22 years of clinical experience, kelly has developed a specialist and bespoke approach to help diagnose why someone has pain or is underperforming in their chosen sport, occupation or general quality of life.
The body project musculoskeletal movement assessment, takes a unique approach to understanding the person in a holistic way. It appreciates the path the body has been on up to that point.
The physcial body adapts to forces placed upon it- occupational hazards, postural fatigue, previous injury, the mileage of age, stress and illness are all prime examples. These can leave residual marks that, Over time, become engrained and affect the way we move. As a result of this, the way we move and use our body can become less functional.
The less efficient a physical body and muscle/fascial system is, the more compensations and stresses can be present and this eventually results in pain. In order to address this pain and 'fix' the problem, we absolutely have to look at the bigger picture. Treatment of the pain is an effective way of getting rid of the symptom, but doesn’t necessarily address the underlying cause.
When a person continues to present with a recurring issue, our bespoke assessment process allows us to put together a holistic package of whatever they specifically need. For some it may be a combined approach of treatment to manage tissue spasm and pain symptoms whilst we undo imbalances and retrain the body mechanics with personalised rehab/prehab programming. For others they may need more retraining and less or no treatment. It is completely bespoke to their situation.
This comprehensive assessment and treatment is available with Kelly, jude and mel and it can benefit absolutely anyone!

Medical acupuncture
Medical acupuncture (often referred to as 'dry needling') is a modern adaptation of the ancient Chinese practice of acupuncture. It is defined as a therapeutic technique that involves the insertion of fine needles into certain points across the body to encourage healing and pain relief.
It is different from traditional Chinese methods in that practitioners work specifically with musculoskeletal issues rather than using the energy flow (qi) and ancient beliefs of yin and yang.
Medical acupuncture works directly with the body’s nervous system in a couple of different ways:
To produce endorphins- the body’s natural painkillers
To re-set neural firing signals. When a muscle is in spasm or 'tight', it can be due to a signal from the nervous system, acupuncture helps to break this circuit- a bit like a defibrillator
